Next to the lantern is the church of St. Nicholas, which used to be the first lantern but was converted into an auxiliary building with the aim of devaluing the sacred building. In the 90s it was renovated again and got a distaff with a bell. In the 30s there were 2 lanterns for a while, I have a few pictures from that time in my archive, it was the time when the new lantern was built and the old one in the church of St. Nicholas was still in place. The building was the same size as the church today, but it had a rectangular elevation in the middle with a dome on which the light was turned on (similar to the dome of the lighthouse at the entrance to Postira).
